... The grass is green (it is the middle of summer), there are trees everywhere and you can see hills that are green. The next thing I noticed was the cobblestone/Athens Blocks that still pave the main street of Athens - Court Street. And then I found it, the place I have been looking for, it just appeared. We decided to take the day and REALLY search for the lakes in the area as well as the city that our friend Christi grew up in. No problem, right? HA!
We took all of the roads the signs say to go on and drove in circles for what felt like hours. Nothing! Turn around and find our way back.

Then again, we are in Ohio so what else should we expect, right Christi??
    Damn ...

... some grass covered mounds in what looks like a hilly golf
    course.

I tend to think of most towns in Ohio has being dominated by
factories but passed through two on the way, Lebanon and Wilmington, that had
very nice town centers with historic buildings, farmers markets taking place,
and bed and breakfast inns, a pleasant surprise. The route took me through the
last counties I had not yet been through in Ohio, so with Gallia County on the
Ohio River I can now say ...
