... skirting the old town. We hopped off and walked across the Mozart Footbridge over the Salzach River to enter the old town.

Salzburg is the Nashville of classical music. Heck, Mozart lived and composed here! The Salzburg festival is famous! Unfortunately, we didn't here a note of music while we were here....hmmmmppphhh. We did have an excellent lunch at an Indian, Austrian, Italian restaurant.

... the King basically went into a dream world- a world of fairy tales of the middle ages. The pictures in the castle are inspired by Richard Wagners operas but not directly modelled on them- the castle was also dedicated to Wagner. Inside the castle is just crazy, the artwork is amazing, everything is perfect. Literally the castle of dreams. There are so many items made of porcelain. Taking photos in both castles is band which is lame but understandable.
