Hong Kong do not have any gemstone resources of its own. They import everything but because of there duty free status the prices are reasonable. Then it hit me that it was "Qing Ming" holiday and all these people were going up the mountain to where the cemeteries are. Needless to say we decided to forego the insane line and get a cab. We met some other travelers who were also trying to get to the other side of the mountain and split a cab which them which was convenient.
