After a swim and a gym trip we're off to Stanley to explore the area and the markets. Once you're away from main harbour with all the skyscrapers, you see how green HK is - its really pretty with apartments set into the hillside. Fantastic views everywhere. We wander around the markets and take a walk around the town. We find a nature reserve with butterflies and rare birds etc to eat our lunch but we daren't sit down as too many ...

... Atlantic City. Every so often the call of the casino becomes too much and I must go and dump some cash into the slot machines, while biting my nails and waiting for a Jackpot Party or other gimmicky bonus round that often never comes...I was quite excited for this part of the trip as was my mom (poor Warner!). Macau is the Asian Vegas. It would be just like Vegas if Vegas had less amazing restaurants, less casinos, less booze ...

We got up and headed out to find how to get to Stanley market. Janet knew most of the way but not where to catch the bus. We walked a fair way and waited with another couple who although sounded Canadian were actually from Sydney and Perth. Took about an hour and got there when it was spitting with rain. First stall we spent a small fortune , at least $80A! And then continued up whee we were met by the most dogs we have ...
