After you check in you get a big locker to put your stuff in and are assigned a pod. ... short walk onto the viewing platform for the evening's light and laser show where all the skyscrapers on Hong Kong are turned into a giant disco ball. Tomorrow we intend to watch the Kowloon lights from Hong Kong Island. ... but we got sorted and headed out. First impressions were good. We wondered to times square literally 5 minutes away smelt some good food and followed the scent then lost the scent so went to a coffee and toast house! ... restaurant. The food was delicious, a traditional Chinese Dim Sum lunch. I think I ate too much, but was definitely satisfied. Then it was off to a jewellery factory. Hong Kong do not have any gemstone resources of its own. They import everything but because of there duty free status the prices are reasonable. ... back all the way into the metro which was a little ways away from the bus stop. Then it hit me that it was "Qing Ming" holiday and all these people were going up the mountain to where the cemeteries are. Needless to say we decided to forego the insane line and get a cab. We met some other travelers who were also trying to get to the other side of the mountain and split a cab which them which was convenient.
