    ... or a good place just to enjoy a glass of wine and a mere feast! I think the heat is dreadful ! In Corfu the language is Greek and they use the Euro.     We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... and I knew it was good squid because it didn't even taste like squid! We finished probably six plates of tsatsiki and the waiter brought us free wine. I don't know why these people think we need MORE wine all the time but I am not complaining.
    The last morning we woke up dreading making the trek back to Roma and knew what was ahead of us. 30 hours of traveling later I'm back in Rome on my bed. I think next time I'll spend the extra 100 euro and fly.
