... after my amazing breakfast I found the first double decker bus and hopped on not knowing where it was going but i just got on. I eventually departed the us when i was in the region of brooklyn, this was around 10:30 so i found a shopping centre and decided i would check some clothing. ... a bit but it moved fast, when we got round the corner the little place was pumping, and everything from floor to ceiling was covered in graffiti. Very cool little place, they only did hamburgers or cheeseburgers, beer or soda. The menu was hand written on the back of half a cardboard box flattened out and stapled to the wall. Beautiful in its simplicity. One more 30 min crowded and jolting subway journey and its wasn time to split NYC

... reading the stories of survivors and loved ones of those killed made what we'd seen on TV ago real. The memorials consisted of 2 waterfalls: the south and the north, both featuring the names of the business workers who had sadly lost their lives and the paramedics, firefighters and police force who had given their lives. ... Financial District was very quiet today, yes as I stated, it was Sunday. Snapped some photos, walked past the spot where George Washington was Inaugurated as the First President, we saw the Trinity Church, and then we again found the lower end of Broadway.

Notes from Andrew: The enormous chains that people use to lock their bikes. They must add about 5kg to every ride. New Yorkers don’t hold their phones to their ear, they use earpieces.
From me: The door to the restroom in diners and delis is the door into the restroom itself, not to a row of cubicles. It took a few shoves against locked doors for me to remember this.
