... me at the train station was enough to dampen my spirits when I walked into Munich. It is such an inviting and vibrant city but somehow maintains a calm and peaceful temperament. The weather, to say the least, has been crazy. My first day in Munich saw me walking around like a question mark for most of the day;yet the following day saw me sitting in The English Garden with a pint of the finest, wearing a T shirt. So much for my geographical and climatic predictions to ...

... grab breakfast, so our friend gave us a granola bar to split...definitely not enough food to hold us over for the festivities today. On our walk to Oktoberfest, a gas station was open so we each had a croissant and Mars bar for some extra caffeine. Upon arriving in Munich, Tam and I caught the train to our subway ...

We landed at MUC at 6:43 and arrived 18 minutes early at 6:47 in front of a new terminal that’s under construction. Since the new terminal has no gates or jetways yet, we deplaned via airstairs and rode a shuttle bus to Terminal ...

On our way across the ocean tonight

A travel blog entry by cindytomshega on Aug 31, 2013

Flight leaves at 5:25 pm tonight. Still waiting to see if we get our upgrade request to business class. Tom went back to air and space museum this am. I decided to go for a run. Wow! Come on Virginia. No sidewalks? Yikes. I ended up running 2 miles and walking just as much. And it was hot. But I made a friend. A box turtle was crossing a parking lot and every time I said Hi he lifted his head like he would turn his head to look at me. The things I do to rationalize taking ...
