    We went to Goelitz and Bautzen this day. We didn't depart from our hotel until after 1pm. Goerlitz was about 1.5 hours from Dresden. We had only about an hour to walk in Gorlitz because mom wanted to visit Bautzen. What a rush!!!! We took the tram in Gorlitz... walked through a nice park... saw the river where Poland was on the opposite side... asked for directions from an old man across the street and he kindly stopped and crossed the road to help ...

    The next day we spent the morning doing scenic cruising down the Rhine. It was windy and rainy initially but the weather gradually cheered up by the time we reached Koblenz after lunch.
