... different things. My stomach loves to give me stomach pain when I travel but when I was in Peru I didn't get any until the last day of my trip..think it was that ceviche...

Ballestas Island was the highlight of my trip, since the wildlife on this island is just stunning and the Humbolt Penguins are soo cute worth a day trip at least.

Best places that I would recommend going: Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu (I was ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada jlcalgary... cheap and easy to find especially considering we were very close to the Stampede grounds. Jack helped us find a Wal-mart where we could get propane, ice, flashlights and charcoal. At around 5:15 we arrived at the Calgary Olympic Park. It was closed but we were able to walk around a bit. We may go back tomorrow afternoon. We’d like to see the Hall of Fame and take the tour.

When we got back to the site around 6:30 the grill needed ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada mady142... thing in the morning, there's so many people out at 6am. I caught the free train into town to get to my Greyhound and ofcourse took some touristy shots along the way. The bus trip to Lake Louise was good. Comfy seats and some fantastic views made the trip go a lot faster. I could've almost fallen asleep except I didn't want to miss the views.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada jess_stewart... a chance to share this with the world. In the past, a number of my friends have said how they loved getting my emails updating my latest journey. These updates ranged from a rock climbing trip to Thailand, a day of fly fishing in New Zealand or zip-lining in Costa Rica. Hmmmm.....I'm seriously thinking about trying to create a cool video and applying for this job!!!
Calgary, Alberta, Canada scottfromcanadaThe Journey starts off in Calgary...but let's start off by recapping the events that lead up to our departure. Two weeks prior and I decide to tear down my deck and rebuild. I really don't know why I had to do that prior to leaving , but I did. Add that to my long to-do list. Let's start off with planning my European Motorcycle tour...book flights, accommodations, make arrangements to ship a motorcycle I don't even have, buy a motorcycle for my European tour ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada cobra1899... of room for all of us, which it was made quite clear we were to treat as our own, as indeed we have as I lie here sprawled on the couch! With only a couple of days here, it was an easy decision to choose the spend the day bunkering down, relaxing, kids playing on their new found toys (Nintendo Wii etc) and getting a few things organised such as our blog. This super time here has only served to reinforce how important the ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada chalmersfamily... a dry walnut muffin. The apple breakfast bar had a bad artificial flavour to it. Holly McNarland's "Beautiful Blue" came on as I ate - that song definitely has a different meaning when heard on a plane, soaring through the stratosphere, amongst the clouds! I also listened to one of my favourite songs from the past year or two - Blue October's "You make me smile". I love listening to this song while traveling because travel makes me smile ...

Calgary, Alberta, Canada bplohSo I'm almost ready to go! Sold most of my stuff...'97 Sunfire is still available...great deal at $4,900 ;). The prep process has been pretty stressful.... I was having a hard time getting approval for my courses due to lack of "coordination" from my Exchange "Coordinator", but finally got approval for three courses which is all I need to graduate! Light at the end of the tunnel! My research project: "Analysis of the Electricity Industry in Chile as a Potential Market for MicroPlanet ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada rmwildmanTam showed up at my house, where we waited for Rodney to give us a ride to the airport. Rodney dropped off some of Dorianne's Christmas cookies - mmm mmm ... food for the long journey that we had ahead of us! Got to the airport and encountered a huge line-up to check in (almost 1.5 hours). The flight was delayed 2.5 hours so there was tons of re-booking happening. We got screwed - we're going to miss our Phoenix-Las Vegas connection, which will probably cause us ...
