We knew we wouldn't be sleeping in this morning since our bedroom was in a loft that was open to the living room and there was a window similar to a sky light located there. Around 8:30 we woke up and as I readjusted in my bed I lifted my head only to see the most fantastic view of snow covered mountains!
The unit we …
Left Edmonton today with my suitcase 5kg heavier (although still lighter than everyone else) and headed to Calgary. We didn't have anything planned for when we arrived at Calgary, just getting ready for our flight to Alaska the next day. However, as we approached the Calgary city limits we came upon CrossIron Mills; an outlet shopping center. After …
So the first day of our adventure started out in a bit of a rush as when we arrived at the airport someone realized they forgot their cell phone at home. So after checking us in and before going through security I had to run home to get the cell phone before dropping the car off at my husband's work where I met my friend who gave me a ride back to …

The room is very big and actually has two desks. We had two queen beds and they were comfortable. the bathroom had marble counters and a really nice shower with a rain shower head and several vertical jets as well.
This hotel is very close to the airport but not to anything else. They have a restaurant on site but there are no other places to eat in the area - not even a Tim Hortons!
In the room I could hear footsteps and showers from other rooms. This want a problem for us since we are all sound sleepers but it might bother other people.
