We knew we wouldn't be sleeping in this morning since our bedroom was in a loft that was open to the living room and there was a window similar to a sky light located there. Around 8:30 we woke up and as I readjusted in my bed I lifted my head only to see the most fantastic view of snow covered mountains!

... my residency here in Alberta. I had taken a letter from my employer saying I was employed full time and a bank statement (this was printed off the internet, which according to their website wasn’t good enough, they wanted a statement which had been sent to your home address – I don’t understand why, paper statements are becoming rarer). Luckily despite the fact it was not sent to me they accepted it. The lady was really nice, she even gave me ...
... hotels do not have porters, you will be doing the lugging yourself. The food is amazing but not like at home. Do not expect butter for your bread, ketchup for your eggs, there is no peanut butter and you will be charged for water if you ask for water. If an entree says chicken that is what you get, just chicken. Remember to order sides of grilled veggies or potatoes if that is what you want. The room is very big and actually has two desks. We had two queen beds and they were comfortable. the bathroom had marble counters and a really nice shower with a rain shower head and several vertical jets as well.
This hotel is very close to the airport but not to anything else. They have a restaurant on site but there are no other places to eat in the area - not even a Tim Hortons!
In the room I could hear footsteps and showers from other rooms. This want a problem for us since we are all sound sleepers but it might bother other people.
