Yesterday we left Vancouver and took the one hour flight to Kelowna. We were pretty lucky with the weather in that we got some great views of the mountains.
Kelowna has a population of around 120,000 people and reminds me of the Central Otago area. Surrounded by mountains, it also has lovely lake views.

We bought a van!! Woohoo!! We bought it off Redmond, a guy from big white selling it on the big white page for $1400 :) stoked! The cat shop shuffle is an annual party for the staff and permanent residents around the mountain. 300 tickets go on sale and are spread through the business's of Big White. Leanne purchased a ticket for all us spa staff, $60 for food and drink and a shuttle out to the Cat shed. At night ...
... is a fun mountain with a really cool village, id say better than Big White. It is set out a lot better and has a real European village feel to it. There are pockets of accom out on their own runs where some of them make it easier to ski down to the car park and village rather than walk/drive. The facilities are also quite good with a market, bakery and several pubs.
