... so excited to get a beautiful ring of Bohemian garnets. Dean took lots of photos as everywhere you turn there is a photo opportunity. The people were friendly and helpful in the shops and cafes and we spent a lot of time perusing the jewellery, wooden toys and glassware. ... The waiter had been in Christchurch 6 months ago. He described it as 'a city without a heart'. Quite a good way of describing a city without a CBD. Rachel's NZ friends call it a donut city which is also an accurate way to describe the moment the donut needs filling.
