... the most of it. I had my mission - find more underwear. I was out and laundry day was not going to be for a while, there were more important activities to partake in, such as Oktoberfest. I have had many suggestions such as turn them inside out, go commando etc. In my books, there is no substitute for clean underwear, so this was on backpacking trick that I would not partake in. My mother would be proud.

Finally, small world! I met a guy, who is biking from London, hopefully around the world, but currently on his way to Chengdu (yes, that where the earthquake was, and where Alan went to visit Winston!) And the guy is from New York from Lehman (now BofA). Haha what a small world, no? And i guess you cannot escape networking, even when you are backpacking in Europe! :P

We had a pretty good time and they invited me to the zoo the next day. Since I would probably sit around and do nothing that day, I decided that the zoo would be fun to see. ... They got settled in and we headed out to find some food, but couldnt find anywhere open, so we settled for drinks instead. Had a couple then came home and drink, among others, absinthe, which was a good laugh. The bunk beds are creaky as hell, so it took everyone a while to get to sleep. Then dan the man from portsmouth turned up and was a bit ******, but I was out like a light. Tom told me he didnt get to sleep till after 5, which sounds like no fun at all....

... ve heard, with Prague to the north as well, Bratislava is always going to suffer from unfavourable comparison with it's immediate neighbours, which is quite unfair in its inevitability. Location is everything! I'm afraid this all sounds rather negative. It's not that I disliked Bratislava; I'm glad I visited, but it just doesn't rate highly on the scale of my travel experiences so far.
