... ever in the area (just to clarify, search for hotel Olimar and you'll find the market. The stall was called Fonda: Amayrany which is on the left hand side of the market square and they were the loveliest people ever!) We were relieved to leave Acapulco and recommend you not bothering to visit, there are so many more beautiful places, fewer crimes and cheaper than Acapulco. Not a wasted trip because I had always wanted to see Acapulco but we will definitely not be ...

... and admiration. Some look about 10, while the older boys dive with torches in their hands! It's so incredible and we were so glad we had ventured this far to see it. It's a once in a lifetime type thing to watch. Plus the sunsets over the cliffs are magical to say the least. We spent hours watching the sun set and seeing the sky change colour every few minutes. It is also still picking up the pieces ...

With Semana Santa finished I figured the driving would be smooth from here on out. Funny thing...it turns out most Mexicans get the entire week off following the holy week. Great, looks like another week of crowded destinations. At least the drive to Acapulco was smooth, wide and vacant of traffic....until I was within 30 miles. Flat, wide open, mostly barren terrain with a mountainous horizon suddenly burst into a thriving city-scape, which went up ...

        Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
