... Royal Mausoleum houses the recent King & Queen. Oslo has its share of beggars in the street as well as poor unfortunates rummaging in street side rubbish bins. There are buskers providing entertainment in the streets and a fair share of burkas although they seem to be confined to an area close to the train station. There are statues all over town . Statues to politicians , play writers, poets and painters as well as mariners even The Devil.. So many statues and memorials it was ...

Arrived in Stockholm to cold and rainy weather. Walked to my hostel (which is a moored ship off of Skeppsholmen island) and checked in. They were playing Neneh Cherry's "buffalo stance" in the reception. I almost died! I forgot that she's from Sweden! "No money man can win my love, it's sweetness that I'm thinkin of".

Wandered around and found a ...

... in the views of Stockholm and the gardens along the water edge.

Next up was Stockholm Old Town and the Royal Palace. This would take hopping on a bus to get us the majority of the way there and then a short walk. The bus dropped us at the entrance of a bridge that we would walk across to get to the entrance of Old Town. The walk across the bridge itself was an attraction as the views of the city and its various buildings we like no other part of the ...
