Well, our second stay in Barcelona wasn't as long. We tried to visit a couple of other parts that we didn't get to before, but mostly, as usual, we'll remember the food we had.

We stayed a little on the outskirts, which we do a few times on our trip because Terri has Marriott points and some hotels cost very few points when they are not in …

    4. Played a game of pub trivia with Kevin, his mother and a nice woman from Queensland who knew the strangest items in the trivia
    5. Logan saw a whale spout, but whale sighting could not be confirmed
    6. We made it through a day as sea without getting sea sick
    7. We feel as if we are too young to be cruising with the crowd on the ship

... seafood paella, served dramatically at the tableside with an artistic presentation. Red wine, cheesecake with wild strawberry topping and a final glass of aguardiente ('water with teeth', the fiery liqueur from the region!) rounded out the experience of our last memorable moments in this wonderful city!

We came to Barcelona a day early, leaving the quiet life of rural Catalunya behind. With relief we ...
