... I didn’t really feel like bacon and eggs so went with a Spanish omelette. It wasn’t what I expected. It came out as an omelette broken up into pieces and stuffed into a baguette! I ate half of it but it was a bit gluggy. Eli had bacon and eggs etc. We had a bit of trouble paying – in France when we used cards we never had to put in a pin, just sign. ... seafood paella, served dramatically at the tableside with an artistic presentation. Red wine, cheesecake with wild strawberry topping and a final glass of aguardiente ('water with teeth', the fiery liqueur from the region!) rounded out the experience of our last memorable moments in this wonderful city!
