Ac Gran Canaria Las Palmas

De tijd hier in Las Palmas gebruiken we om de motor zijn broodnodige onderhoud te laten geven en om de voorraden voor de oversteek naar de Carieb in te slaan.
En om de video beelden van Lanzarote te uploaden. Wat beelden uit het National Park en van het begin van de oversteek naar Las Palmas.

Our boat is moored in the marina at la Palmas (Fact for you Derek: Spains 7th biggest city). The city is pretty dirty and noisy but whilst Nic was here last week we hired a car for a few days and wild camped our way around the island. Again I am suprised at how beatuiful it is - really dramatic mountains and cliffs. Will definitely be back to explore some more and do the trek to the mythical GuiGui beach - a 2 hour climb over a ...

... our friend Rodney then got the 2pm bus to the airport was quite worried about the flight because in England they had really bad weather and 70mph winds all week however the weather clear by the time we flew back :-D
Our flight left 15 mins late however we arrive 15 minutes before schedule and England was very cold Bring on April for my year of Backpacking :-)

... had some type of hippy festival thing going on in Las Palmas bus staion area which was really cool and about 40 little stores to look about then we went for a walk down the port area then got the bus back and had a quiet night in watching spanish tv which was quite good even though i didnt understand it lol..

... sauce for a main! It was really nice and a very local place
which i like a lot because i like to expirence what the locals do :-).

Then
we went to a few pubs one called fiction with men in just there
underwear and then sparkles showbar which had a drag show but was not
very good so went to nixonos which is a club and stayed there till 4am
but it was very exspensive and cost 19.50 euros for 3 drinks :-0.

... so we don't have to go out for breakfast and lunch. We have a shared kitchen up at the roof. We met Sebastian at about 1:30 this afternoon and then went to his place where he made us a gourmet lunch! We are so full that we will have to roll down the 6 flights of stairs and 3 blocks to the beach. He also has a really big surf board that he is gonna teach us how to use if the weather gets nicer. Apparently it was over 90 degrees ...

O destino não foi muito original, confesso.
Passado um ano da nossa viagem de finalistas, e como já vos contei, nunca mais nos largarmos, e depois de muita teimosia.. lá começámos a namorar. E já lá vão quase 4 anos.

 No verão seguinte.. 2006, portanto. Eu como sempre fui passar férias com os meus pais a Gran Canaria, mas desta vez com uma nova "aquisição".

... made apperances on spanish tv... (susanna is a producer!) and flew to tenerife with susanna which was cool... a normal day... sleep til 12 mid day brekkie time 12.30. lunch at about 4pm then a siesta maybe til 6ish... go to work or shop have dinner at 10.30 or 11pm... get a few drinks or something until 2am band starts at 2am... doesnt finish til its getting light sleep again til 12 ahhh canary islands are amazing and susanna is lovely!

Viagem de finalistas, Março de 2005.
Como todos sabem, a viagens de finalistas de 12º ano das escolas da Madeira, é sempre em Gran Canaria. Mais propriamente Playa del Ingles. (Apesar de termos ficado instalados no fantástico Marbella Golf, que já era mais em Maspalomas do que outra coisa.
