if you are interested in shopping, beach and night life during your stay in Phuket, Bangla Suites is a great location for all of this. Located right off Bangla Road for all the night life you could wand and just a couple blocks from the beach, Junceylon Mall, Bangla Boxing Stadium, and all sorts of Restaurants and shopping stalls are just out the door. The rooms are more than adequate and clean however a bit musty smelling. The employees are friendly and speak enough English to get by. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

... a muffin and tea, lovely! Then when we get to bangkok our transfer to the hotel was like 5 star, really comfy seats and we got given a bottle of water! Lovely job! the grand china hotel was massive, we was going to have a look round china town but I think we was quite far out and the streets where disgusting and dirty and I couldn't be bothered as I was soo tired, instead we popped to a 7/11 then went back to the hotel and had dinner then went to bed, I was ...

Living a very basic existence, they still had a market to sell their wares and are building a beautiful mosque. Their school had huge satellite dishes and we learned that since they don't have any educated teachers in their village, they have classroom instruction videoed from Bangkok into the classrooms up to grade 6. We were then escorted to a ...

          Elephant safari day

Today was my favourite day so far. after an 8:30 pick up we went on the hotel mini bus to the Siam Elephant Safari day that we booked earlier last week. The safari was based on the same road up to the big Buddha so not too far a journey . When we arrived we were put into groups - we were yellow group and our guide was Wi. The first demonstration was of how to make traditional Thai tea & Thai coffee. It is made with condensed milk and therefore pretty sweet. The tea was ...

Hello! So Friday I slept all day! I didn't get out of bed until 6pm. I felt a lot better but still having trouble coping with the heat. Last night I thought I should go out for a walk and enjoy the cool night air. I ended up having a massage which was really good, and then as soon as that was over it started to rain. It rained non stop for about 2 hours. It was sooooo nice. The massage place lent me an umbrella so I could ...

... at the beginning. It was a bit of an anti-climax to be honest because they had torn the inside down to start refurbishment. The weather was a bit better today so drove around to see a bit more of the island. We managed to find an outlet centre that we had seen on the way into Phuket when we arrived. Now, everyone knows Lisa loves to shop. She practically pulled the breaks herself as we turned around & headed back to have a look. The outlet centre was identical to ...
