... people would go to Tunisia to eat pizza? We want some freaking cous-cous, for crying out loud!), everything was falling to pieces and vacationing there was hardly cheap.
I'm sure there's got to be something nice in Tunis, but the area of Sousse where we went to is an absolutely, positively, ghastly, God-forsaken corner of the Earth.

Originally we were looking for a cheap and cheerful package holiday to either Portugal or the Greek Islands but after checking out the budget we found we could go to these places but it would be a maximum of a 2 star hotel that was self catering. When we saw we could go to Tunisia for the same price in a 4 star hotel all inclusive we knew thats where we would be heading.

Now first of I would like to say I’m no food expert… Quite far from actually, and the experiences are very subjective, so others might have totally different views on the matter. So keep in mind this is just my thoughts about the matter. Most of the restaurants are located in Port el Kantoui, a suburb to Sousse.
