... location north of Ubud, and we had the privilege of being backstage and watched the dancers prepare for the performance. A tour bus of French people arrived for the performance of the Ramayana and other dances, and we joined them as guests and later had dinner with our host. Elisabeth performed one of the dances, after which our host unmasked her as it were, and introduced her as a French woman, to the surprise of the French audience.
