After days at sea we had a short stop in Malaga before docking the next day back in Savona. I have decided that I am not crazy about the days at sea. Even though I really enjoyed all the ports, I don't think I would do anther big curise. The fact that there were only small number of people who spoke enlgish on the ship was interesting. So wanted to speak another language .. any lanaugage. Even when I told the Germans I did nto speak Germann they kept talking!

... Spanish holidays. Most of them seem to be related to the church. It's interesting how today it seems like the church plays such little role in peoples lives but in the past it is what dominated most aspects of society. Back to today. I knew it was Thanksgiving but it sure as heck didn't feel like it. At school the teachers didn't bring up the subject or cut us any slack. The weather was kind of rainy today so that helped. It didn ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89Malaga is the major city near Frigiliana (where the train dropped us off). We spent a day there when we picked up Jaime and Rob at the train station. Some highlights:
... girlfriend, Maria. Alex reminds me of my high school Spanish teacher. They got some mojitos at a bar but they did not like them so Alex went back in and bought a beer. Maria asked the bartender about the mojitos and why they taste different and the bartender told her that they mixed it with a different kind of soda because they didn’t have any more of the usual kind. So there we were standing in the street drinking and he was ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89... selling sea food and having bbqs on the beach. The weather is amazing cant believe that its still around the 25 degrees mark at this time of year.
We walked for a while and then worked our way back to the hotel where Ian went and lay by the pool for a little while reading his book while I had a little sleep. Its only a few days now until we come home and I am excited although I want to keep on travelling around. We got ready ...
... the ferry over to Algeciras it only took an hour and half and then we where in spain, I felt a huge weight lift as now we can relax a little. In morroco you are always on edge always watching and not trusting people that it makes you a little crazy. So we went and got our bus tickets and we waited in a little bus station cafe and had our first taste of Spanish food. Ian had some paella and I had some meatballs ...
Torremolinos, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands traceybelle... is heavier than i normally travel with, getting around the london train stations is challenging at best especially when there is no escalator or elevator.on two seperate occasions during this trek i was surprised to get two seperate offers from complete strangers to help me carry my luggage down the stair. i look at this as nothing more than good karma, if you put it out there it will come back to you. i guess helping the lost tourists in san francisco paid off?

Should of known to rent a car in advance during high season, all the local hotels were out so we had to Bus it into town and rent one there for next week when we go to Gib and others. Spent the afternoon on the local beach, really nice, then back to the local pub and had drinks and dinner with Sri Lanka lady, 2 Brits, 2 Fins, and as usual had a great time. I'm really enjoying talking with and relating too all these people from different countries all getting on well!!
Fuengirola, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands triumphrob... So afterwards I grabbed a quick shower, then went met up with Francisco who drove me to Arcos. He's a very nice guy. So once I got to Arcos I hit some balls on the practice range and then drove around the course taking pictures, which was good fun. I wish I had something to eat as I had forgotten that they had hired a great new chef, but perhaps tomorrow. I came back to the clubhouse and hotel and met Ricardo, who was very nice. We began talking ...
