Yesterday was a very long and busy day. The previous night, we had made plans to cruise the locks with our new friends, a big advantage for us since were newbees to the Tenn-Tom. We left Aberdeen marina at 9:30 on a clear morning and dodged a lot of floating hyacinths in the water. From here on we encountered large drifting rafts of this water plant hoping not to suck any into our engine cooling system. In the video the guidebook describes the dredged channel as "serpentine".
