... if you are trained in the area of expertise, you communicate to each other what that space represents personally.

As we traveled through the city we noticed the astounding architecture that had been built. Most of it was very modern, comtemporary work because of the war destruction in the Glasgow area. We took a look at the famous art school and imagined for a second what it would be like to work in their studios.
Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom taffglasgow... different town. Glascow is a huge city, like Toronto and in this so-called Glascow, we kept asking each other why all the shops were closed at 6pm on a Monday night. So we stopped and had a bite to eat after a long day of travelling from Ireland to Scotland, and just enjoyed the medium sized town small little 5 table restaurant. After getting lost for a complete hour and following the same one-way street program over and over again, we ...

Glenrothes, Scotland, United Kingdom fairnie... I doubt I'll get much more done tonight.

I have had to be beyond minimal with the packing - to the point of debating over whether I really do need a fifth vest top ( I don't) or two pairs of jeans (I do) . And as many of you know, my travelling shoe collection consists of flip flops, (fake) ugg boots and a pair of really ugly trainers.
But, thanks to Katy, I do have at least one high ...
Falkirk, Scotland, United Kingdom suzyhart7... Andrews.

But, still no sign of Mark. Our pre-arranged meeting time was still over an hour away, so I loaded the kids into the car to take them for a drive out of town, fingers crossed that they'd fall asleep for a little while. And it half worked - Reilly had a bit of a sleep, but Patrick didn't, but he did have some quiet time.

Then back into town to see if Mark might have finished earlier than expected. And luck was with us - as we looked out on the ...

Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom shonerOn Februrary 14th I spent Valentine's Day by going and visiting the city of Stirling with one of my good friends on my program Emily. Stirling is only about a 45 minute train ride from Edinburgh so it could easily be toured in a day. Our first order of business was to visit Stirling Castle, which is where the original royal court used to be held. It was still in the process of renovation by the organisation Historic Scotland, but it ...
Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom deacnightowl88... hour flight. I easily found a train to Glasgow Central and before long stood in the shadow of the impressive Glasgow City Chambers in George Square. Strolling around the pedestrian-filled streets it became quickly apparent that Glasgow meant business. As Scotland's most populous city and its economic hub, Glasgow's soul lies in its thriving business district where sharply dressed business men and women file in an out of stone office buildings and the streets clog with ...
Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom dcarlsonThe last couple of weeks went by in a whirl of sun and games. The weather improved to more normal Galacian summer temperatures meaning numerous trips to the nearby beaches. These excursions were generally with the usual gathering of extended family and friends and, for me, meant many hours of jumping waves, clambering rocks and exploring rockpools. On one memorable beach day, we found an indent in the rocks which was just perfect to make a ...
