... tour for £5. Petrified of the sea I thought for that price I was happy just to sit on the boat looking at the underwater world with the protection of the boat and being Emma and Harry's personal snorkelling photographer. The boat stopped among the 3 Islands where everyone jumped into the ocean no hesitation. I then had to explain to the guides I was scared of the sea so could not go in. One of the toughest challenges I've ever undertaken... but worth it to come away with a BIG GRIN on my face (and a big ego) and two new friends in tow. Big shout out to Baz & Caz for their support, banter and taking some amazing summit shots for me (my camera decided to conveniently die), you honestly made the whole trek a million times easier! OVER AND OUT, ROGER THAT, ...

... after waiting around at the small port on Lombok for an hour with other backpackers, whilst the locals tried to scam as much money as possible from the tourists. Eventually we made it to the island and had time to relax on the beach, do a bit of snorkeling and have some lunch next to the crystal clear, aquamarine ocean. There are no cars on the island, only horse and cart, which makes for a very rural feel to the place, as well as producing the slight stench ...
