... get off at the ‘hub’ and change trains, as the one we were on only did 3 stations between the ‘hub’ and the airport, delivering people to the main line and going back again. We had to get off at the next stop, change trains, go back to the hub and then change again to the main line down to Clarke Quay.

... at Sama Sama to see if the band was still playing which they weren't so we went back to happy house and sat up with the owner and people that worked there. They were playing the guitar and singing and got very into it!! The next day we headed out to the west side of the island. We got some sunbeds at a hotel that had swings in the sea. ... much discussion we opted for the flight, as generally flying is the safest mode of transportation, and I didn't know how rough the ferry ride back would be and didn't want to risk being seasick and stuck on the boat for 6 hours. So we booked a flight for Tuesday morning, which meant we would need to take a boat from Gili Air back to Lombok on Monday morning, and spend the night at the town of Kuta on the southern tip of Lombok (and only 30 minutes from the airport). ...

And we spent the afternoon sunbathing under hot sun on a white sand beach in increasingly clearer waters, away from the seaweed and into the circle of nothingness. It's in the sea of tranquility, turn left at Lombok. I'm told that the key to a successful trek is careful planning and careful consideration of the right route.
