As new RVers, we knew there would be a learning curve, and that everything wouldn't always go as planned. What we didn't expect, however, were the lessons to come so soon. We finally started our journey late afternoon on Apr 23, after waiting for an axle seal to be replaced on the car. We got the car hooked up on the tow bar and, with a cheer, got on the road. And so the first of the international workers will be leaving over the upcoming days. We will depart as we first arrived, a grinning, disparate line of backpacks and suitcases, catcalling and whistling, drunk with excitement, over-bright with fatigue. I want to fix everyone in my head just before they go. How did it look when ...

Life After Life

A travel blog entry by thegirlgoes on Feb 08, 2015

... time. (Only personal decisions that apply to myself of course, for I always know exactly what everyone else should do). I kill myself with worrying, analysing, strategising whenever I am presented with a momentous fork in the road. I torment myself with worst case scenarios that could result from various courses of action. All this endless thinking about choices is paralysing and takes up so much time: when push comes to shove I am cornered and forced to rely ...
