... me on this trip was Luke (the regular occuring figure), Alex, again from V Festival and Rachel.

Camden Town, what a cushti place to spend a day, or 2, or 3! There is such a good vibe from the market area, it's a bit of a tourist attraction agreed, but this does not disturb the karma. I feel very peaceful when visiting Camden. It's so interesting, round every little hidden away corner there is something new and wonderful to find ...
Camden Town, England, United Kingdom samuelverdin... blew it's ice-chilled breath threw the ancient hangars and against my 'RAAF Jacket Psychological'. LOL. It has been a cold **** day; from hail and rain, 40KPH ice chilled wind; tomorrow I'm taking a beanie and scarf - the long 'Bluey' coat is not enough. Jamie was wearing thermals, a shirt, a jumper and a long thick coat and was just insulated enough. Boy it's cold...I see where the saying bout the brass monkeys comes from! Buckingham ...
London, England, United Kingdom masonsineurope... if we are bringing a mini laptop to do our blogs en route, that decision still has to be made. So our blog might not be updated as often or as long and beside the geek in me found out that the hard drive will probably crash at altitudes above 4000m and since we are going up to about 5200 will have to think about it. Speaking of altitude.. When we booked the ...
London, United Kingdom leonnatmckenna... from our school, the Faraday House, but about a 75min walk, unfortunately. Once we were all settled into our flat, a couple of us ventured out for grocery's. However, before arriving at our destination we decided to break for lunch at an Italian restaurant. I learned here that apparently in London they don't give you spoons with your spaghetti. Well, at least they didn't charge us 80 pence for ...
London, England, United Kingdom hellotara... aisle, already deciding I would get the smaller bottle since I wasn't preparing to cook all that much. Lo and behold, the FAMILY size bottle of pasta sauce was smaller than a normal size bottle in the states. I asked my parents to send me some chocolate from the states (more specifically, Ghiradelli chocolates as everyone in my office seemed OBSESSED)... and my dad also sent a huge Costco sized bag of M ...
London, England, United Kingdom stephaniedzhu... by my little adventure I've planned. Well, maybe confused, they weren't really on the same level if you know what I mean. Did you know that in Minneapolis/St paul airport theres a scaled down version of the mall of america? At least thats what it seems like to me, only everything is twice as ****** and 10 times the price. So again, I pay 9 bucks for a large pint of beer, which, in my eyes, was soooo worth it, and something I'll have to get ...
London, England, United Kingdom tylerjblog... It was a busy, crowded mess just to get in, and the man controling the lines was a grumpy old British man. He actually started turning people away because they weren't forming a straight enough line for him; it was rediculous! Inside I got several photos. I mostly enjoyed the stained glass and some of the architecture. Kind of cool overall. After that I popped over a bridge and checked out the London Eye (giant ferris wheel). I entertained the ...
London, United Kingdom brettoryg... and chips set me back less than £5. It reminded me of my many merry lunches at the Lansdowne Hotel with Liz, Abe, Emma and co. (except for the good beer). After meeting up with Michael and going back to his flat I was finally able to set down my bag, sit down and have a cup of tea and properly relax after sixty hours on the move. And where does a resident of Sydney's inner-west dine the first night in London? Why, a Thai restaurant, of course!
London, United Kingdom dannybhoy... he was one of their own, and understood implicitly what he was playing at. They too could feel like beings from another planet-one road trip through the Deep South would ensure that. Another eventual consequence of Edison's invention was to reduce the need to attend live music performance to hear music. Sun Ra's life was dedicated to keeping the core of his band working. The economics of running a big band, let alone one as outside the spheres as his, can only seem ...
London, United Kingdom johnsinclair... Mass transit is expensive!!! With the Oyster card it was 1.50 pounds each to go 1 mile (2 stops). If we didn't have Oyster it would have been 4 pounds. Currently, the pound is worth 2 US dollars. Taxis might be more reasonable (update: nope, 16 USD for a 2 mile taxi ride). We took the Tube back to Victoria Station, which is just a couple of blocks from our apartment. Pics will be added eventually
