    ... Cardiologist. What will happen next, who knows. But we will, no doubt keep you informed.

    So I'm sorry but the planned 9 weeks blog is a sad 2 weeks only. I hope you enjoy what there is and ANY comments on here will be hugely and gratefully received. That way I know you have read it and that IF we are lucky enough to do anymore travel in the future, I will blog again.

    ... wasting hours I finally gave in and rang the Sony help line but never managed to get through. I then tried ringing Waterstone's help line and a lovely man tried to help me for ages before he admitted defeat and gave me the phone number of Adobe. They never answered so I was stuck.     ... the hill stations of India, only lacking passengers on the roof! Not ideal! Its a slow train stopping at every conceivable place but eventually we are at the Virgin desk, booked in, cases gone and at the restaurant of the Premier Inn wine in hand! This is more like it, the holiday has definitely started now.

    Drove across Bodmin Moor to the pub called "Jamaica Inn," scene of the novel by Daphne Du Maurier. The pub was built as a coaching house in 1750. We looked at the museum , partly about the authoress and partly about Cornish smuggling through the years, the subject of the book. I had read almost all Daphne's books years ago, when I lived in Plymouth, but still ...

    Tuesday finally arrives and we're on the 1803 out of Exeter St David's after a quick beer in the Great Western. As we pull out we dig into our supplies, I head to the buffet car to pilfer some ice and we settle back to enjoy a couple of G&T's.
