... up a picnic for lunch it did start to rain, but lasted less than 10 minutes and then back to sunshine. The way it should rain lol. Tomorrow I think we are going to head into Brisbane, check out the city and I believe they have a man made beach there as well, so a bit more sunbathing and swimming as well. Hope your all ok back there at work and in the cold :o)

... I've met a lot of people and I'm presently giving a lift to Engladers, it's really funny. In Brisbane, the girls are really gorgeous and fit, long legs etc ... the lifestyle balance looks pretty cool ... the people in the street are very polite and happy, they give you smile the whole day ... There are many many many backpackers, a lot of depressing froggies .. hehe and so many german girls ... yum !
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia fwice... the slope below. The lookout was quickly renamed the Most Awesome lookout ever. Undeterred by the mist and the now quite persistent rain we scoffed sandwiches and headed off on a 4 km track that took in two waterfalls, one which you could walk under. The rain added a sense of magical surrealism as we felt we were walking further away from civilisation to a land of water and running streams and rivers. We were warned about leeches and on returning to the car ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia hess... gesturing towards us to the dance floor. I waved Sam onto the dance floor and he came over and said to me "no such luck Mr, your mine" Hahahaha. I was thinking he wanted her to go dancing but he wanted me. So we both danced with him for a bit but he seemed very drunk and although I was flattered by the attention I could tell I could have been anyone that night, he just wanted someone, which doesn't really do it for me. He danced with me and flirted ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oldhamguyJack: We got the bus to Lone Pine Koala sanctuary. The bus was late and we were first on and the driver didn't have enough change to give us so he let us go for free. There were a lot of animals at the Koala sanctuary, some of them were Koalas, some of them weren't koalas. We got the bus back but had to pay this time. Then we went to the super market and spent ages choosing some meat and fat to cook with and bread ...
Brisbane, Australia yvetteandjack... visiting Queen street and the Queensland State Library - before catching the ferry up and down the river. That evening we met up with some of Mike's extended family and reminisced about the good old days in Africa. Returning from Fraser island we had a day and a half to relax, fit in a run and generally mooch around. Returning from Airlie Beach, we caught Cat and Simon on a long week-end. Our first activity was a pizza supper on the way back from the airport. The ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia kirstyandmike... because it was a place for sun worshipers and people who party hard. It is largely a man made holiday destination and therefore largely out of our price range. The next day we headed north with Saul and his partner, Carolyn, to explore parts of the Sunshine Coast. Our first stop was the Glass Mountains for a little walk in the woods, which were a strange mix of brush and rain forest. I don't know how better to describe it, it is just something that has to be witnessed ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia nick.maynard... for our parents and then polished off the spicy soup, which was lush.
We then headed off to find a Post Office, in order to send a parcel of stuff back to Katie's parents in the UK, something we'd been meaning to do since getting here.
We'd been lugging around a few Asian guidebooks which we didn't need anymore, some CDs with our photos on, another couple of mini-DVDs from the video ...
