That was the installation. She took some photos and then we were done.

We saw some interesting art at the GoMA while we were waiting for the session with Hiromi. Outside was a wire structure assembled in a plane, but if you stood at a proper ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia bseib... in love with koalas they are just so adorable despite their sharp claws! Spent two days in Brissy catching up with my schoolfriend Abigail, who is working out here as a doctor. We went to the home of Steve 'Crikey!' Irwin, the crocodile hunter, Australia Zoo. FYI if you're ever over here don't bother with this Zoo as it costs 25 pounds to get in and really isn't worth it. Was nice to go and see, but its terribly overated and full of awful staged shows with the animals and crocs.
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia lexmarshall... it was like getting off the plane in Greece - the heat just hit you. It was amaaaaazing. Cue happy Claire. Gary's wife Ruth likes the finer things in life (it's why she wanted to become a Brooks) and doesn't like to get taxis from the airport - instead she prefers to hire a chauffeur driver car (as you do) so when we arrived there was a dude standing in a suit carrying a sign that said Brooks. LOL legend.

We were staying in the extremely plush ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia brooksy85... got a ****** version of trivial pursuit with our Mcdonalds meal, what a good start to the day.
Unfortunately the day didn't end quite as successfully. After consuming way too much goon (cheap Australian wine, rumored to have something to do with fish guts and that comes in 3litre boxes) Dan decided he wanted to cut my hair. His mum was a hairdresser and he's pretty artistic so assumed the talent runs in the family. It.Does.Not. He did invent a new hairstyle, sort of ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia danandkate... Australia. Generally each leaf contains 50% water and only 5% sugars meaning their low energy diet requires them to sleep for 18 to 19 hours every day! We even got to see baby koalas (joeys) being carried in their mother's pouch. We also saw a wide variety of other Australian wildlife at the sanctuary. This included relaxing with kangaroos in their enclosure, feeding dozens of noisy lorikeets (which landed on your head!), stroking dingos, watching a birds of prey show ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia mikeandpaula_09... out that we can manage to do this without having to work here and we can spend the time better than starting college in august rather than having to wait another year. Its tough finding work here and we think that wed rather not drain our resources by working in a ****** job when we can stretch out for a good theee months and work towards doing something we really want to do at the same time. We can get back in time for Tonner and Caroleannes wedding as well so its a huge bonus!
Brisbane, Australia andyandkirstine... label the street at all. 5) If your street crosses an intersection - it is quite likely that they've changed the name of the street on you. 6)The majority of Australiana..is made in China. 7)Junk food is super expensive. Chocolate in northern Queensland averages $3.50 a bar. 8) Ice cold beer is warm in about 3 minutes. 9)Kurranda had the best souvenier prices 10) It is possible to find your way around Australia without actually having a realy map See you soon!

Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia pacificocean... down. Sure enough the heavens opened and the temperatures dropped into the high 20s on the next day. Australia, we'd discovered, was a country that loved rain - in Victoria and South Australia because they barely have any, and in Queensland to provide nature air-conditioning. Rain, it seems, is a very good thing (and that's hard for an Englishman to get his head around). In fact despite the rain it stayed too hot in the ...
