On Wednesday we walked over to the train station to see how much trouble it would be to take a train to Ljubljana. On Wednesday we slept in until 2:30 (in all we slept 16 hours!)...jet lag strikes again. We took a look around our hotel and checked out some of the mineral pools before lounging in the lobby and soaking up some of their wifi! My sister and niece came by for an afternoon visit as we were too exhausted to venture anywhere that day. Last full day in Varazdin
The forecast was threatening so we had
saved up our galleries and museums for today. It was fine starting
out so we went to the bus station to get tickets for tomorrow first.
We are finding that quite a few of the bus times listed on the
internet schedules don't actually exist when you turn up so getting
tickets in advance will hopefully avoid any last minute nasty

Varazdin A walking day today. We
started off at the local “green market” which had a lot of flower
and nursery stalls as well as fruit and vegetables and some deli. and
meat. Vegetables seemed to all be local seasonal produce, fairly limited range but good quality. Strawberries are definitely in
