... also a good option. After a little walk there is a lake-shore of around 1 kilometer semi-circled around Sirmione. It has a beach-like view over 300 meters long walk-way. ... other places we have been. he water is very clear & in the small fishing harbour we saw a few fish, some gulls, ducks & swans & a lone cormorant, so it must be reasonably healthy we assume. Mantova is nestled into a c-shaped lake, giving it some really wonderful trails to bike around on (especially at sunset). ... to the Monument cemetery. A truly different kind of cemetery from those in the states. A very large area with big headstones, mausoleums, monuments and photos of the dead. The Italians take funerals and remembering the deceased very seriously. Our last stop was at the kitschy Balcony of Juliette. Although a fictional character of Shakespeare, this is a popular stop with a balcony for the tourists.
