    We were lucky that the front desk lady let us check into the Starlite Hotel a little early. Even while staying on the cruise ship a little longer, we were still at our hotel before check-in time.

    ... 20 screens they had on had the basketball on it. Americans really do love their sport, very passionate people!! Our second and last day in Miami it was bad weather again so the beach was ruled out.. Much to my disappointment. We chose a hop on hop off your tour that would take us through south beach and Miami city.     For the day we tallied 79 species including many year birds and 3 lifers for Eric, 6 for Bob, and LOTS for Julie. Highlights include: White-cheeked Pintail, Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, Thick-billed Vireo, Cape May Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Common Myna, and Bald Eagle.

    Tomorrow is the Dry Tortugas....so that should be good fun.
