... see Miami. Of course we got lost because Miami has lots of bridges! So we saw the poorer areas but also ended up on a beautiful quiet beach.

It was a quick stop in Miami but certainly a nice way to start the holiday!

    Top 3 things:
    - Sunrise over South Beach with the seagulls
    - The gallery of Peter Lik: www.lik.com
    - The motorride we did on an old scooter which allowed us to see more of the city.

    Next stop Costa Rica!

A taxi seemed the better choice to get the couple of blocks to the restaurant. We had dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant called ...

Our visit to (stay in) Miami was way too short. We arrived in the mid-afternoon and only had a short time to do some shopping at Bayside before dinner at Bubba Gump's. I got a temporary tattoo, as did a student (Rosey). That was pretty cool.

It was pretty awesome to eat at Forrest Gump's ...

... are very different from your normal bushland. They are basically a river of grass which house all sorts of creatures, a number of which will kill you. In particular, the alligators and also snakes of which there are 21 different species with 4 being venomous. It is also a haven for a wide variety of bird life and the American crocodile, not to mention the odd human - for further research, watch the movie 'Deliverance' and don't forget ...
