... Cathedrals is often the life work of a few generations within families.No doubt the construction of such would have been pivotal for much community, religious and political power struggles.

So what of Cologne? I haven't researched this in depth but I would imagine that the French feel to the place stems way back to the roots of the Frankish Empire. Happy to be corrected on that...did I mention how good Steve Smith is going? Fair dinkum he will do ...

... to be widened to fit cars or in one instance they just made a second tunnel next to it. We tried currywurst, a sausage with curry ketchup they are known for. ... EVERYWHERE in Europe has many italian restaurants owned by Italians. Thin crust personal pizza 4 stagioni my fav! Doesn't beat the pizza in italy but was delish. Bars were dark and played strange music but local beer was very nice. I had to try the typical german shnapps which was actually nice as well.
