... second one held heaps of people. You will see by the photos how many were in there lol. When we reached the summit... Oh My Lord we cannot explain how beautiful if was. It was so peaceful and the day was so clear, clean and bright. It was like the sun rained down on us. Our Tour Director, Ananda, said that she had not seen such a beautiful day up at the Matterhorn before, that was expressed by the locals also. We maintain that it was us that helped to make it that way lol. ...

However as soon as we passed the border into Italy the road quality noticeably deteriorated to one and a half lane rough roads with no line markings, but at least there were guard rails. So the Parisian parties turned out to be pretty damn good. The people treated me with an uninhibited enthusiasm like one would a rare exotic species. Being Australian always seems to help things around here, people seem to genuinely like Australians, or else they're just happy that you aren’t an American tourist. The first guy I met at the party started giving me drinks, coming from the parties at home I was expecting sometime to come and destroy me ...

... black polo shirt with the Swiss Ulysses emblem.... a great souvenir of a most enjoyable and memorable time. We finally left the 'party' at 11pm, riding back the 15km of winding roads to our hotel, where, I certainly was more than ready to fall into bed for some much needed 'shut eye'. In the morning it was raining, so after meeting up again for a group photo, we decided to head back to Basel...
