... a tourist destination and the town is
filled with tourists ooooing and aaaaahing and taking pictures of absolutely
everything. Watching tourists from all over the world is an experience all on
its own. Of course the town is dominated by the Matterhorn which towers over a
town filled with chalets, hotels, tourist shops and flowers. The Flowers are

Time to move again, so we packed up camp and left Martigny
for Sion whereafter finding parking at the station we caught a bus up the
mountain to visit the Pyramids De Euseigne. The bus dropped us in the town of
Euseigne and we walked back along the road to view the Pyramids.

The Pyramids are difficult to describe as they are really

    ... were absolutely
    stunning.

And so back to our patiently waiting bikes and back to camp
for a well-deserved beer and supper of braaied chicken wings……with skin.

Swiss meat is funny. None of it has fat. All the fat from
every cut is removed by the butcher and one cannot buy any meat in the shops
that has fat on it. Very sad state of affairs, and so we buy chicken with skin
on it so as to satisfy our craving for delicious cooked animal fat.

Watch Out for the Slugs (and snails)!

Sean checking in as we continue our writer rotation.

This morning we continued our route adjustment due to the less than ideal weather situation with the plan of leaving our previous Val locations and moving on to the Val de Anniviers. We awoke in Martigny to more pleasant weather with broken sunshine and no rain. First, we settled up at the Midi Guesthouse, stopped by the Coop to grab a simple breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and hard eggs, and then worked ...
