This is a bit of a non-site as it's a means to an end:
Stopping place on our way to relatives and friends in Germany, time to stock up with wine and the last city to get the “once over”, Strasbourg, also a hotbed of EU activity which will become important as Dave, not our Dave) goes about getting an Extra Couple of Sausages (Copyright Dallheimers) for the UK or England if we don't have a happy family any more.

Had my breakfast in my room and finished my diary and blog. Lilli had been across to the station to but tickets for the next stage of our journey to Freiburg. The lift at platform 9 was not working so we had to take the bags to the top of the stairs, then go back down for the bike. The bike carriage was already filling up but we managed to find a space. The day started off rainy, but we decided to go tour Freiburg anyway. We were accompanied by Rudy and Conny's niece, Nicole and her friend Ariel. They are traveling Europe for 10 weeks and are staying in Linkenheim for a couple of weeks. Even though it rained all day, we saw all of our historic sights, took pictures and did a little shopping. When we returned to Linkenheim we were treated to ...

... food, transportation (Claire too), museums, etc. (Our flights were paid for with 120k miles and about $120 fees and taxes. Super good deal, as long as you don't mind flying coach.) We try to book lodging with breakfast, either skip lunch or grab it inexpensively to go, and eat great dinners at well-regarded (trip advisor, Michelin, etc.) places. We've done lots of laundry in our bathroom sinks; we now know the heated racks we sometimes find are not by design towel warmers. Most ...
