Land of milk and honey?

Busy busy busy
... was beautiful and you could see the mountains in the distance with a few castles. This area we are traveling is called the Alsace region. End of the line!
We made it as far as Breisach before the Rhine decided that we were going no further along her banks!! We learned later that we had cleared some bridges with inches to spare to get as far as we did. When we woke that morning the river that has been a calm blue peaceful waterway was a swirling mass of brown with debris starting to appear - later the odd log would float by!
Obviously we were not going to get to our final destination of Basel ...

Den Rest der Höhenmeter hatten wir zu anfangs an einem gesperrten Wegabschnitt absolviert, der von 2 Rentnern online als „extrem schwierig zu begehen“ charakterisiert worden war und bei dem man wirklich auch das Risiko eines kleinen Absturzes einging.
