    ... It's like a see saw, operating on counterweight that continuously balances
    the span the entire upward swing. The next was the railroad bridge that swings sideways and we were out in the open. There were a few nice swells that had us "rolling".     We drove from Plymouth, Mass. through Rhode Island and into Connecticut today.
    The rains started about 5 miles before we reached the Rhode Island border and didn't quit until we were well into Connecticut. We stopped for the night at a State Park not knowing that dogs are not allowed in ANY state parks in Ct. Unbelievable.

    Kay and I had visited Mystic on a vacation 20 years ago and really enjoyed ourselves, but for whatever reason, it didn't seem as much fin this time. Perhaps it was because Alex wasn't as interested in life in the age of sail as I am, and Kay was more willing to learn - I just don't know.
