... rain. In fact, I think we both enjoyed it quite a bit having missed it so much during the multi-year drought we've had in Austin. After an hour or so of steady rain the sun came out.

... which is well known for its stain glass windows - its HUGE - Gouwekerk, the fish market buildings, Museum Gouda and the Weeshuis (orphanage). We didn't get to try the syrup waffles Gouda is famous for, that might have to wait for Amsterdam. We rode back through the Reeuwijk Plassen, along the Korssendijk and the Lecksdijk. Well rested after an awesome evening, the day has dawned fine and will be around 18 degrees. Well that is what was forecast. After filling ourselves on an amazing breakfast we are on the motorway for the 1 hour drive to Keukenhof gardens. Never have we seem so many huge tour buses in one place. Parking today was a doddle; they had attendants.
