... back to sunny and calm!
Sunday then Tiny`s family came to help with moving flats! Thank God we only had to move her stuff from one flat into another on the same floor! So at the end of the day the new flat already looked quite cosy!
A very nice weekend, but a bit sad because now we live even further apart than before ;-(

Hello!
So for two weekends in a row, my plans have not worked out exactly as I had hoped. That has only made me more determined to come back again and see Europe! It is unfortunate that I won't go over the border in my 2 months here. I will only set foot in another country on my way home when I stop over in Vienna and Singapore on ...
... in my head. I didn't buy the program because it cost nearly as much as my ticket and I couldn't justify it. (The last week of a holiday u want to live like a rich man, but must live like a poor man). There was a beautiful song which I am sure was about a woman on her wedding day. I really wanted a copy! We went to the stall where they were selling the CDs but because it was all brand new music, they hadn't recorded it yet. Gretel (from Cuba/Sth Africa) bought a CD ...

The dancing involved too much bended knee and sticking bums out, hardly a beautiful dance move and they couldn't even keep in time with each other, let alone create straight lines. The one thing I was looking forward to seeing was that one dance where they line the stage and dance as one. They wouldn't have had a chance in hell! So, needless to say I was a little disappointed with my first ballet. I think that I would have much preferred a ...
Hello everyone in the warm country back home.
It is now officially Winter. Yesterday the highest temperature was -3 and today on the way to Uni it snowed! Only slightly, but never the less, there was snow. This weekend it is supposed to snow quite a lot. I am looking forward to it. I will be in Lauterbach, Wurzburg and Rothenburg, and all will look so romantic covered in white. My teacher warned me that if the snow persists, I will have to ...
... city with Rafael and bought a blank CD to put all of my pics on to bring home. Jan 22nd is also a really important day in Germany for shopping. All of the shops have massive sales on all their winter range starting from then. I went to a really popular German fashion shop called H & M. I found a cute cardigan there that would be perfect for my character in Backbeat, but I don't know if I would wear it otherwise... I'll post a pic of it ...
Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany sarah.... for others. The music was so different to Rent that it was hard to appreciate it. But at least I knew what was happening.
After the Opera we managed to get back to the hotel with 2 trains, one bus and one tram (and 20 mins of walking). I really hope that the train sytem comes back soon!
Yet again I must depart. In my next installment I will tell u about my trip to the Opera on Sunday night to see Der Zauberflöte.
Tshuss!

... singing. I would buy a copy here if it wasn't so expensive, but I can't justify spending 30 euro $60 AUD on one DVD.
In the afternoon we met Herr Bayer, our politics and Berlin teacher and looked at some video footage from the reunification time in Berlin.
After class I went to the Hauptbahnhof for a couple of reasons, 1) that I wanted to purchase my train ticket to Fulda for the following weekend so that I can visit Cori and ...
... sure that I go to my room and then give me a call at the hotel. I have to be there because I am not allowed to go out anywhere. Thanks so much for ur message! It makes me miss u even more!
Don"t worry about my safety. Luckily the hurricane changed direction and will hit the eastern states worse than here.
So I"ll go now. Still cooking dinner and it's 10pm. I will try and leave another blog entry tomorrow if I can to let u know what I get up to.

Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Stuttgart because I couldn't find a cheap way to get there. Bloody German rail system! So I stayed in Cologne to watch the match between Australia and Croatia. I was suprised at home many Aussies were still in Cologne. I thought they would have moved on elsewhere. There were enough there to get the atmosphere going and some of the ...
