I didn't see anything particularly stunning that makes their water better than anywhere else, but it is a nice town at the foot of the mountains and was worth a visit. By this time it was 4pm and not possible to start the next part of the ride. So our goal changed to finding accommodation. Our mediocre effort today meant that we had only one accommodation option open to us. Camping. ... Calvin preached. I was hopeful of climbing the towers but for some reason they were closed off on this particular day.

I then spent some time exploring the back-streets of the Old Town, and eventually realised I had lost my carefully prepared map, directions, and plans for that day, so I had to go from memory. I was please later when I checked my online copy of my plans for the day that I hadn’t really missed anything I badly wanted to see.

    I headed next to ...
