... is a delightful little town that I would have enjoyed.
I set off on the shuttle bus and hiked to Emerald pools. It took about 80 mins return and was a bit steep. The pools did not look anywhere near as green as the photos but the views were great. There were some fairly nice reflections and also some interesting ones in puddles. However I was on a timed adventure so could not linger to enjoy it.
Quick hike to the grotto picnic area and the cottonwood trees made a ...

4:30 am and I'm up and getting ready..on a holiday?! At least I can say it was worth it; picked up at the motel in limo style..have to say a bit overrated but nice all the same. Drove 5 mins to Sundance Helicopters for a sunrise tour to the Grand Canyon. Had a lovely pilot & a very smooth ride over the ... ... miraculously recovered once we had stopped. I also apologised to all of the other riders..... We mooched on down the Strip enjoying the characters performing and de ided to go on the High Roller ferris wheel. Since its completion in 2014 it is now the largest wheel in the world. While at the bar (yes again! We are in Vegas after all) the barman niticed our accent and pointed to his girlfriend. We had a good chat to her and it turns our she is from Mackay ...

... we went to 'Ka' a new production of Cirque du soleil. It was like nothing we had seen before. Google it, its underscribable.

So now we are off on our next adventure. Back to LA with an 1120pm flight to Peru. We recieved an email from our hostel warning us that taxi drivers will take us to different hostels in order to get commission, and tell us the one we booked has burnt down..... this next stage is going to be interesting,

Love to you all,
