we landed in oakbluffs, which is on the vineyard. (that's martha's vineyard for those of you who are not in the know). it was lovely but i didn't take any pictures (the picture is from chris' iphone). we were able to test out the new dingy motor that was purchased ...

... not many pictures were taken. i slept for 20 hours a day due to a crazy ear patch medication and spent most of my time comatose, down in the cabin, padded by what i affectionately called my "playpen" (which can be seen in a picture labeled in the Scituate entry).<br><br>it was a rocky start to the year's travels.<br>

... A Grateful Dead cover band which was awesome! The rest of the time that I spent there was relaxing. We went to the beach and hung out. It was just what I needed before my journey across the Atlantic. The East Coast is a beautiful place. The night before I left I spent in Marblehead. Chris' parents took me out to dinner at the yacht club that they belong too. It was wonderful!! A great way to kick of my great adventure.

Nantucket is pretty much exactly how I imagined it. Lots of little shops ranging from tshirts to high priced art galleries. We rented scooters for the day and slowly made our way around the island stopping at the local brewery and a lighthouse. All in all a very nice and calm day. No wifi at the house on the Cape, so updating pictures won't be easy.

... going to Martha's Vineyard. <br><br>We picked up some bikes by the dock and set off from Oaks Bluff to Edgartown along the coast line. We stopped by a bridge where all the children were jumping from and settled down to a bit of sun and rest. We then overheard that Jaws had been filmed here and sure enough the bridge the kids were jumping off led to the lake where Roy Sheiders's son was paddling with his mates about to be attacked ...

The challenge with the cape is that the days blur together....wake up, have breakfast with Grandpa and Granny Win, play on the lower lawn, visit the Macguires, go for a boat ride, have some ice cream, you get the picture.<br><br>So when someone visits, it is a big deal.
