... and we pressed onward. To those New Yorkers reading this who are wondering why anyone would eat a bagel outside of the city, please let me explain: Montreal bagels are made completely different than "The City" bagels. They are crunchier on the outside, chewier on the inside and have a sweeter taste to them, as if they were baked in honey water. Putting on brave faces at their raw specimens they finish their dishes and Im impressed with the effort. What I find more amusing is the amount of extra bread thats also ordered along side it.
