... morning at about 4am so that gives us about 3 days to do the journey, we'll probably try and do about 400 miles tomorrow between us to try and break the back of it and then have a couple of Slower easier days after but we shall see!!! It very much depends on the traffic really and then we obviously have to try and get through the carnage at Calais without any immigrants climbing aboard!!! Doors and windows will be well and truly locked!! ...

... when we asked for a table, the lady told us we'd have to wait an hour and a half which would have been cutting it pretty fine... We umed and arred a bit and then she told us we could eat at the bar if we could find a spot so we went for that option and struck Gold... There was a little table for two around the bar area that people had just left so we quickly jumped on that and were served just as if we would have been in the restaurant.. I went for the 12oz rib ...

... roads, it was over 30 miles, with speeds rarely exceeding 20 miles per hour given the curves. The scenery was breathtaking, but the driving got old, very quickly. I was very happy when we came down from the hills and could see the massive monastery complex sitting off in the distance.

We arrived just in time to join a tour entering the abbey and monastery complex, though the tour was not in English. It worked out fine that they gave us annotated ...

... past, but I did not realize how seriously it is taken until we arrived. All of the signs in the airport should have told me up front. Everything was in Catalan, English, and then Spanish. The road signs near Barcelona were in Catalan and then Spanish. As we got off the highway and close to Gratallops, all of the signs were in Catalan only. When speaking, everyone was speaking Catalan among themselves. They can all speak Spanish, but evidently they make ...
