Arrived on site at just gone 3pm, had a good trip, roads were very quiet and it was sunny the majority of the way. Unfortunately it starting raining as we were setting up, although it only lasted about ten minutes. We save the best for last - visiting the incredible Chateau de Chenonceau built spanning the River Cher in the 16th Century. The architecture of this castle is unique in the world, and it is the most visited in the Loire Valley. It is well furnished, and has so many gorgeous original artworks that it qualifies as an art museum in its own right.

... 16th century tapestries, paintings, china etc. In one place the kitchens still had medieval sink, stove, pump and oven with copper pots and pans and it was easy to imagine what life was like!

Had an easy day today just wandering and eating and drinking - very tempting iin France as there are cafes and bars everywhere ...
