Our first plan this morning is a walking foodies tour of the Petaling St area. So after a light brekkie at our local Starbucks, we are on to the monorail into Chinatown. We head to central market to kill some time and both make an accidental purchase, before going to our meeting spot. Our guide Mimi is great and we walk and eat for ...

... couple we had some drinks with talked about a beautiful campsite just north of Hunter Vally so we decided to head there. This was to be the first of many beautiful beachside campsites we stayed in on our trip up the coast. This one was at the edge of a sandune that led straight onto the beach. ... The area is a beautiful promenade all along the shoreline, giving an unexcelled view of all areas of the harbour, from Darling harbour on one side, around the point to an excellent view of the bridge, Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera house, as well as the entire metropolitan area on the other side of the harbour, where the zoo is situated. Up a few stairs from the promenade, there is grass to lie on to take in the view, and benches where you can sit ...

Today we left Melbourne for Sydney, bound for our Canada Alaska adventure.

Picked up Bern & Des to catch the 1 pm Qantas flight where we overnighted at the Quality Hotel next to the airport. After dinner in the restaurant, we opted for an early night to refresh ourselves for tomorrow's longer flight to Vancouver BC.
