Well, without thinking too much about it, I had arrived quite early and many places were still closed and there wasn’t much happening. Afterwards, I waited at the bus stop for awhile, before realizing I was an hour too early for the first bus! It was here that I ...
Singapore, Singapore lisa_nz... where you can rent a bike for a mere 2$ a day. The group of us who travelled to the island all rented bikes, and toured around the island for the better half of the day. At one point I found myself going full force down a small path covered in jagged rocks- lets just say my journey to the bottom of the hill was not so graceful. I was launched off the bike and thrown into the bushes. When I got up I heard a high pitched squealing sound- there was a wild pig about 5 feet from me ...

Singapore, Singapore stephanie813... Singapore in 2007, but to no avail. I was to learn this time that I’d been within 500m of the place, but at the time I’d been searching in extreme heat for 3 hours and had to end my attempts (since no-one locally could understand what I was looking for!). This time I was better equipped, as I’d found out what the school was now being used for. After a further bus ride after the MRT, I found myself walking down the original drive towards the school ...

[Rich: Thank you Shan!!]

Day Four:

On our last morning in Singapore, we tubed it (sans Chris who decided to go on the internet instead) to City Hall and wandered up to the very ornate Raffles Hotel: one of the city's most famous landmarks. We had a drink in the hotel's posh cafe, feeling very out of place particularly with the group behind us puffing away on cigars ...
Singapore, Saskatchewan, Singapore cereal42Singapore. My gateway to China. I arrived yesterday in the afternoon. Flight was very convenient, no issues. Met Gustav at the Sembawang station, which is in the northern part of Singapore. I stay with Gustav and Junee. We went out to Clarke Quay, first to a place called "Crazy Elephant" listening to live music. Later on, changed to the club on the upper floor called "China One" that also featured a live band. Other than the one in "Crazy Elephant ...
