The four of us have now spent 2 days in Lyon and walked for miles. It is a decent walk of abour 2 km from where we are in inner suburban Lyon, across the Rhone and Saone rivers to the old city. Where we are is mostly 5-8 storey apartment blocks which range from 10-50 years old; it is a relatively quiet area and has only a smattering of shops.
