... have singing waitstaff. They perform there to get noticed and all want to have careers on Broadway theatres. I have uploaded a video so you can see how fun it was. The songs were basically constant, I was so busy watching I hardly had time to eat my meal.

After the diner we went to Times Square which was crazy busy. So many billboards and bright lights on screens with advertisements. It is the hub of the Broadway theatre district ...

It got busier. and my beard grew thicker

... i got the kid into pirography - he burnt a willow tree on the top. i enjoyed woodshop in session 3 - i persuaided 3 campers to buy wood burning irons when they get home.BURN! mmmmmm woood smoke.
one of the lazy days in session 3 we went into hancock again, saw a film and swam across the delaware river - the current was strong. we sat on a rock on the other side away from any buildings. nick then swam accross clutching a 6 pack of bud. it was bliss.

... Broadway. This is the New York you image.......shops selling everything from furs to Pizza, sidewalks full of every race on the plant - The Trump Tower and Carnegie Hall - yellow cabs.......wow we have been here twice before but it is just as impressive!!! THE "CRUMPLE" MAP In Amsterdam Cathy purchased a crumple fabric map of NYC. You can ball it up and put in your pocket. Brilliant. However a man on the bus suggested she threw it away and invested in a new one! See ...

... in a taxi, and after a detour we ended up in a rooftop bar with the Empire State Building looming over us. It was stunning (and I can quickly see that I am going to run out of extreme adjectives well before I can finish describing this day!) We drank a beer and several shots of some kind of firey cinnamon whiskey and headed over to the Empire State Building for a treat. Taylor, working in an office on the 59th floor of the building, gets "jump the cue" and "half off" ...

Walking tours/ walking show

Today was a day if walking. Where as yesterday was a day of standing.

Today the group had a walking tour of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. This is where the Julliard school and the Metropolitan Opera are. Really cool. I really enjoyed this tour. We got to see inside two different theaters, (The David H. Koch Theatre, and the Vivian Beaumont Theater) as well as we were able to go into the Met. They were rehearsing an opera based ...
