Our early morning pick-up arrived early so we were up at 4.50 am and on the road by 5.20 am. It was then a long and tedious wait at the airport for our flight to Ljubljana. We arrived at our hotel around midday, but had to wait till 2pm to check in, so left out bags and went for a stroll. Bob was instantly taken with Ljubljana, as was I. After a good nights sleep and a buffet breakfast we head back to the old town to explore its possibilities. The river running through the centre is a must for a boat ride and at 10am we join a grandad and his little granddaughter as the only passengers for. a leisurely 50 minute trip (€10pp) it is a glorious morning already warm and we drift along and back very happily. There are some lovely buildings along the way and also a number of doer uppers. Ducks and ducklings ...
