... guy but not unexpected amazed he made it this far. Nano Nano.
A tour north from Barcelona to the medieval town of Girona. A beautiful place you could wander around the winding streets all day! With again a magnificent catedral and churches it has so much character and history it's like stepping back in time! On to Figueres where ...
... boobs everywhere. I saw more boobs on that beach then I did at the Cabernet in Paris haha. We had a lovely lunch along the beach strip, of course more Sangria. I just can't get enough. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing and chilling out. Headed to a flamenco show that evening at the top of the castle. It was 9pm and still 30 degrees, walking up a hill to a castle in that heat wasn't much fun and i was ...
... It is an odd building it looks like two different buildings depending on which side you are. The cathedral was open and so we went inside. I liked it I thought from the outside style that it would be baroque inside but it was very plain allowing the elegant gothic roof to be seen and there was some lovely stained glass. We were on the road between Italy and Spain and found ourselves in Girona at the end of a long day of driving. I used my Marriott iphone app to discover this hotel. It is a bit complicated to find in the city unless you have a GPS and of course the early evening traffic was frustrating but we were glad we made the effort.
The rooms are lovely, clean, spacious and very comfortable.
We had drinks in the bar and dinner in their restaurant. The menu is not extensive but we had great service from Pablo. We also made a comment about the lack of outlets in our room and the night manager found us in the bar and gave us an expanded plug to provide two outlets for our computer.
They seemed genuinely interested in insuring our comfort and enjoyment at their hotel. There is secure, free parking which is not always available in Europe so we counted that as an additional plus!
The frosting on the cake, a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. While it was a rainy evening I could imagine how nice it would be to have drinks and dinner alfresco!
