... small trenches around each encampment. Another fascinating insight into the diversity that is the European Comminity.
The beach was lovely with fine golden sand and huge dead jellyfish. We sat and drank beer and watched the sunset and only laughed a little when we thought of family and friends in the cold wet November days at home. The security at the campsite was interesting in that both of us and the car ...
... speak with me than Virg, this being the opposite experience to the one we had in the north of the country, and come to that, everywhere else.
Nevertheless, it was lovely to chill for a few days and the hotel, with its rooftop terrace bar and pool provided a good base. The only complaint...they do need to do something about allowing kids to run riot in the bar after midnight... but the kid thing has all been said before.

... Atlantic. Lots of smallish waves roll in - not in sets like in Perth but just one wave after another. They weren't good enough to body surf but that didn't stop us from trying.
Friday sees us travelling by train to Faro then changing to the express to Lisbon to our apartment. And then a whole new adventure will start.
We trust all are well back in Perth.
... s centre streets are cobbled, narrow and one-way. We´ve spent Sunday afternoon & evening and Monday just walking around the town, exploring and soaking up the atmosphere. Lots of coffees, pastries and beer. Food and drink is really cheap (expresso $1.10, beers are about $2.20 for a stubby).
We´ve been practising our very limited Portugese - I think we can say about 3 expressions so far! Locals seem to find our efforts amusing! :-)

... was never happier than when I was cycling amongst them. For myself I never doubted that I could complete the journey, but I confess there were a few times when I wondered just how well I would complete it. A disappointment was missing the Logroño to Burgos leg through an upset stomach, but at least I discovered that Spanish buses will carry a bicycle! (Surprisingly I was told the only trains that would carry the bike were those that run at night.) An ...
Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Portugal jamie_peteAfter a very good night´s sleep and breakfast of toastie, doughnuts, fresh orange juice and coffee served by a young lady with bad attitude, I pushed off west to Huelva. I have not seen the sea since passing through Dieppe way back on the 20th April, so I was looking forward to the day. But in the event it proved to be a horrible ride. The road surface was poor and the traffic very heavy, especially early on. There was no ...
Huelva, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands jamie_pete... hours to kill for the bus, walked around the market, watched a scrimmage soccer game, walking past a bar i came across a birthday party where i was literally pulled in... friendly people, free food, a warm place to wait for the bus... DEPARTED to Lisbon
no idea, Portugal -scooter... br>Samuti oli just Lagos see koht, kust 1578.a läks Dom Sebastião koos Portugali, Hispaania, Hollandi ja Saksa "õnneotsijatega" (ingl k buccaneer) Põhja-Aafrikat kristianiseerima.
