After the seemingly endless flight from Dubai, we flew into Madrid over green fields. Then baggage collection and assembling on our hired bus complete with a delightful tour guide. The temperature is near perfect, a gorgeous spring day. The Hotel Catalonia is very central to the old city of Madrid and very comfortable. A short rest and then we were off to take a city tour.
