A few words about the AC Hotel Irla by Marriott. The bath is separated from the sleeping area by a glass wall, most of which is frosted. But, when you turn the light on in the bath, it illuminates the entire room. If it is privacy you're after, you won't find it in an AC room. They don’t have CNN on their television system. When there is a …
Today, we bid Silver Spirit goodbye. We're ready. We grab a cab that will hold our luggage gaggle and head into the city.
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, a part of Spain that Catalonians wish was independent. Here, Catalonia is spoken more than Spanish and the culture is distinctly different than in, say, Madrid. Both of us have …
... Spain. The struggle was still well worth not paying 68euros per person for bacon and eggs in our room. We walked around all Barcelona all day and even ventured out on the metro to do some shopping. Not only can I not afford to eat in the city, but I can't afford to shop either. Room was great - the nicest shower I've ever had! They gave you little golf ball-shapped soaps too which I loved so I took some home and I still have them now :) The mini bar was free the whole time I was there too so that was a bonus! Lovely little bakeries nearby too - they even do micro pain ay chocolats! Yum!
